“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Mark 10:14
So much wisdom shared through Bro. Travis Coleman’s sermon this morning, but one thing (of many) that sticks out to me is the idea that children’s hearts are like wet concrete. What you engrave on them today will dry and stay embedded forever.
So much of who these little people become is contingent upon what is being poured into them...and who is doing the pouring.
As a body of believers called the church and as Christian parents it’s our responsibility and GREAT privilege to give them Jesus. To pour Him into them with every ounce of our being.
To guide them to the One who knows them. Loves them. Came to rescue them.
As a mom, there’s a lot I want to give my kids. Lots I want them to know and see and do. But, if they get NOTHING else from their moments with me....may they get Jesus.
Lord, let me not hinder them through my own sinfulness but with every bit of power that is mine through the Holy Spirit, let me point them to YOU.
