About One Step Ministries

One Step Ministries is committed to the teachings of God’s Word and the desire to make Him known by proclaiming Jesus Christ in both written publications as well as speaking events. Cofounded by Allison Wilks and Kelli Reeves, One Step Ministries seeks to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who have not yet heard His saving truth, as well as equip believers with the tools to better know God through His Holy Scripture.

Our goal is to equip women to know Him personally, love Him purposefully, and share Him publicly through the knowledge of His Word, one step at a time.

Meet Our Team

Allison D. Wilks - One Step Ministries

Allison D. Wilks - Event Speaker

Allison’s love for God and His Word was born in the pages of a small, white Precious Moments Bible. Allison’s passion and heart overflow to the family she adores, the community in which she worships, and the world for whom the Savior died.
As a writer, teacher, and women’s event speaker, Allison shares insightful lessons and colorful life moments with women of all ages and stages of life. Her confidence in the truth of Scripture is the soundtrack to the personal stories of strides and stumbles she hopes will inspire others to pursue Jesus one step at a time.
Allison is a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies. Her desire is to love God deeply and proclaim Him boldly so that others might join in giving Him glory - if that happens to occur over a pot of coffee and a box (or two) of powdered donuts, then all the better!

Megan Woodham - One Step Ministries

Megan Woodham - Event Speaker

A long-time lover of Jesus and of words - both written and spoken, Megan is an emerging Bible teacher, writer, and event speaker. Originally from Opelika, Alabama, Megan graduated from the University of Montevallo with a dual degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education. She and her husband, Jonathan and their three wild and crazy kiddos now live in Prattville, Alabama where she serves on staff as the Children’s Ministry Director at First Baptist Church. While Megan finds much of her inspiration for writing and speaking from her primary ministry roles as wife and mom, it is one of her heart’s deepest desires to see all women know the Lord and grow deeper in true relationship with Him through His word.

She loves Jesus, Jonathan, her kids, and Chick-fil-a. In that order.

Kelli Reeves - One Step Ministries

Kelli Reeves - Managing Director

Originally from Hendersonville, Tennessee, Kelli came to Alabama to pursue her bachelor’s degree at Samford University in Birmingham. There she met her husband, Carter, and happily followed him to Prattville, Alabama where he became the Associate Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church Prattville. Carter and Kelli are the proud parents of two singing, dancing, macaroni-eating princesses. Kelli loves all things organization and uses her unique array of behind-the-scenes skills to further the ministry of the gospel. As cofounder of One Step Ministries, Kelli serves as editor, creative director, web designer, calendar manager, and Post-It Pro! Kelli’s love of God’s Word and devotion to its right interpretation and teaching fuels her heart for ministry, but her love of God fuels her passion for people.

Mission Statement

Our mission, led by the Holy Spirit, is to glorify God by intentionally sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and the principles found in God's Word with both believers and unbelievers in our church, community, state, nation, and the world.

Statement of Faith

We believe in the one, true God, existing in three persons; the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God alone is Creator and Sustainer of all things. He created man in His own image and desires to be glorified by His creation. As a result of the Fall in the Garden of Eden sin came into the world and all of mankind bear the sin nature of Adam. God is holy and cannot be in relationship with sinful people. The penalty of sin is death, therefore God sent His son Jesus to pay the price of sin and to make a way of salvation. Jesus was born to the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross, and was raised to life three days later according to the Scriptures. Salvation is entirely the work of God, nevertheless, we believe that the only true response of a follower of Christ is whole and sincere devotion to God demonstrated in worship and service. Every redeemed believer has the privileged responsibility to know God and to make Him know in word and deed by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe the Bible is God's inerrant Word penned in the time and voice of men chosen and led by the Spirit of God. We believe that all persons live out theology (beliefs about God) every day, and that all men, women, boys and girls who have tasted the grace of Jesus must be diligent students of the Scripture in order to develop full, accurate, pure theology and apply that knowledge to every area of life.
